Attribution Attribution.
I let others copy, distribute, display, and perform my copyrighted work — and derivative works based upon it — but only if they give credit the way I request.
 

Example : I publishes my articles with an Attribution license, because I wants the world to use my articles provided they give me credit. You finds my articles online and wants to display it on the front page of your website. You puts my articles on your site, and clearly indicates my authorship.
 

Non Commercial Noncommercial.
I let others copy, distribute, display, and perform my work — and derivative works based upon it — but for noncommercial purposes only.
 

Example : I publishes my artworks on my website with a Noncommercial license. You prints my artworks. You are not allowed to sell the print artworks without my permission.
 

No Derivative Works No Derivative Works. I let others copy, distribute, display, and perform only verbatim copies of my work, not derivative works based upon it.
 

Example : I licenses a drawing of my artworks with a No Derivative Works license. You would like to cut some parts my artworks and mix it with your own to produce an entirely new artworks. You cannot do this without my permission (unless my artworks amounts to fair use).

 

If I find that my license is being violated, I may have grounds to sue under copyright infringement.
